Homestay:
As there is no better way to absorb a culture than by living in a household, each participant will be welcomed into a Senegalese family for one week. During this week, corps members will practice their newly acquired language skill, while forming bonds and memories that will last a lifetime. This is also an excellent opportunity to practice newly acquired language skills.

Quotes:
"The last week of my stay I lived with a family of twenty-four men, women, and children. In the evening the elders, Adama, Selka, and Coulibaly would sit on the roof to find peace and quiet. On one of the evenings they invited me to sit with them, my new family and I were speaking to each other in a combination of French, English, and Wolof. We called it 'Franglais' or 'Frolof'. I looked up at the moon and the stars and said, "Les etoiles... Benne la..comme ci Amerique." That's Frolof for: The stars here are the same as the ones in America."
Someone told me that some Americans have these awesome experiences, but when they leave they forget. They just don't stay in touch with the people they met or have lived with. They just go back to their lives as usual, looking at pictures albums from time to time. I, however, have promised myself to never forget. - "Mimi", Senecorps Member 04'
