Construction of the new Senecorps' Headquarters began on July 11, 2006

THIES - With the generous support of our sponsors, Senecorps was able to begin constuction of the Senecorps Headquarters. This building will also be used to support the intial operations of The Senecorps PEOPLE Center (SPC). The building is noe scheduled for three floors, the top floor being dedicated solely to library and media services.

Before leaving Senegal we were able to walk through all the rooms of the first floor!  Our volunteers helped masons to clean the site, dig foundation holes and even make bricks for the building. 

We are currently on the second floor and are in desperate needs of funds to pay for the plumbing and electrical units that must be installed.
