PRESS RELEASE
Donations Needed to Ship Shoes, Books, Computers to Senegal
"Soles for Senegal," a music event/shoe drive and fundraiser for Senecorps Inc., was held on April 12, at Regional Arts Commission. Thanks to the generosity of all who attended, over 500 pairs of shoes and over $1000 dollars were donated! Now additional monetary contributions are needed to ship the shoes, plus lots of donated medical equipment, 9000 new and used books, 140 computers and furniture for the Senecorps People Center for Learning. All of these items need to be shipped around the third week of May so Senecorps, the sponsoring organization, may open Senegal's first two public libraries and provide clothing, shoes and supplies.
